KELT-3b

KELT-3b project description:

KELT-3 b is a gas giant exoplanet that orbits an F-type star. Its mass is 1.94 Jupiters which is about 16.50 earths., it takes 2.7 days (65 hours) to complete one orbit of its star, and is 0.04123 AU from its star. Its discovery was announced in 2012-2013. Most exoplanets have highly eccentric orbits. The majority of known exoplanets are gaseous, comparable to our solar system’s big planets, but some of the smaller exoplanets discovered have rockier, terrestrial compositions. Considering that the density of the planet is very low (0.75+0.12 −0.10 g cm^−3), I can conclude that this exoplanet is a gas giant.
